These were perfect for helping me teach my son to read. We started off learning the phonic sounds of each letter. Then I created CVC words for him that rhymed and we did those. He could make words which he loved doing. Then I made simple sentences using CVC words and his name for him to read. There are so many things out there for first readers but if you just wanted to get one thing for your Pre-school level child learn to read then this is it. I don’t think you need anything else. They are very durable. The case is pretty sturdy.
